September round up

Our speaker for our next meeting (3rd October) will be Jan Barnes.  She
will be informing us all about Tudor Costume and Embroidery.

An early reminder that at our November meeting our speaker will be
Rebecca Ayton her talk is all about The art and history of Sashiko
embroidery.

I hope you will remember for the October meeting your Chairman’s
Challenge name badge.  The last meeting saw some completely original designs
for badges so join in the fun. How wacky (individual) can you make your name
badge?    Don’t forget to bring your fat quarter for the charity tombola  (the
November meeting will also do for this.)

We also have a Soup and Sew day (or knit and natter) on Saturday 9th
November.  Do anything you like, just a day with good company. The day costs
£10  – lunch included.  Secure your place by seeing Marlene.

I’m sure everyone at SPQ will join me in wishing Ann Armes a speedy
recovery.

I have to apologise  for the lack of photos of our meetings, I bring my
camera, then get engrossed in what is going on that when I get home I
realise my camera is still in my bag. If you see me NOT taking photos,
PLEASE REMIND ME.
And finally remember to bring your mug for that all important cup of tea
or coffee. We do however require volunteers for tea duty at our next meeting
as the lady who kindly volunteered cannot now come.
Hope to see you all in October.
Val
