Coming up on the 7th November or speaker is Rebecca Ayton and she will tell us all about “The art and history of Sashiko”.
Remember to bring your Chairman’s Challenge name badge and don’t forget the fat quarter for our Charity Christmas Tombola in aid of our local First Responders.
Saturday 9th November is our Soup and Sew Saturday. £10 covers your lunch and good company. Just bring along what you like to do; hand sewing, knitting, crochet, bring your sewing machine. I’m sure Heather would be delighted if you could donate some time to Project Linus.
Now, looking even further forward to December. Put the 5th of December your diary – this will be our Christmas meeting and all sorts of fun-packed activities have been planned.
Cast your mind back to April (difficult I know, too many things have happened since) and the meeting when Simon Henry was our speaker. It was a great night and we have persuaded him to come and lead a workshop for us. We have booked Friday 11th April at Walton Community Hall and the workshop will be “Cut away and turned Applique”. 10.00am – 4.00pm, cost £30. It is possible that if we get a good response to this workshop we may be able to reduce the cost slightly. See Marlene to book your place as soon as possible!
Finally, don’t forget your mug on the 7th and I’ve got to remember my camera
