April

Our next meeting is on April 7th when the speaker will be Amanda Hall from Monkey Buttons. Entitled It’s the Colours, Amanda’s talk discusses the development and design of Monkey Button patterns. Our Trader of the Month is Angie’s.

Meetings start at 7.15 and the door is open at about 6.45 to enable you to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, with a chat and a bit of retail therapy beforehand. Entry is £4 and there is no membership – just turn up.

March meeting

At the AGM on 3rd March Margaret Palmer was elected as Chairman. Kate and Alex agreed to serve a further year as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. We will be needing new people for these posts next year – could it be you?

A Show and Tell of quilts that meant something – brought back memories of classes or friends or family – was followed by the raffle draw with plenty of prizes.

All our regular traders – Angies, The Corner Patch and Zig Zags – brought their shops and did a brisk business. We also had various demonstrations of different techniques happening around the room.

The formal hand-over of the administration will take place just before our next meeting which is on April 7th.
